Default Is propshaft in petrol 940 same as diesel 940 (both M90)?

After no success in sorting out vibration on braking with my 940 (changing disks, hubs, joints) the local garage now tells me it is due to the propshaft which must be replaced. (With the car on lift and running in gear, vibration can be felt at the propshaft centre bearing and at the differential.)

940 propshafts seem to be few and far between here in rural France. My car is diesel 2.4TIC with M90 gearbox. I have finally managed to track down a propshaft from a petrol 940 with an M90 gearbox. I am hoping this will enable me at long last to get the car back on the road.

My question: Will the propshaft from a petrol 940 with an M90 gearbox fit my diesel 940 with M90 gearbox?

Many thanks for any help and advice.
Martin
