Default Handbrake sorted

Finally got around to sorting out the XC70's feeble handbrake; with the MoT looming I could not ignore it any longer.
The service history indicates that the rear discs are about 15,000 miles old, so I took a chance and ordered new shoes and a spring kit. Sure enough the facings were rusty but not scored so gave them a good clean-up and put it all back together, after first checking that the cables are free.
I did fit adjustable links in place of the solid spacers on the front pivots, but only had to take up some slack on the passenger side after putting the discs back on. Hey-presto! The parking brake works a treat now.. MoT next.

Hit a nice number, and tried my best to celebrate. The car has actually 200000kms (not the original DIM) which is also a round number

Other than that, just pulled a heater core from the graveyard, mine is not heating hot enough.
