Hi,

Just wondered if you were aware of this website where you can buy Genuine Volvo parts for the Amazon.

I’ve used them once thinking I was getting a genuine P1800 outer sill. What I got was a reproduced part that didn’t fit, was not the full length and was expensive. When I told them the sill did not fit properly and was not as advertised on the website they very reluctantly accepted my return.

Locking estate fuel caps are like rocking horse poo. The OEM saloon items are much easier to find, but shouldn't be fitted as they have a breather (the estate fuel tank breather is part of the filler pipe, not the cap), which means that the cap will leak due to its position. Also, don't be tempted by the similar looking 140 series locking cap as it doesn't fit.

There's a NOS normal type (i.e. not locking) one on ebay at the moment:

Default estate fuel cap

Hi I would like to say thank you, for your comments and advise on the estate fuel cap. I did observe the one on ebay. Through Simon at Brookhouse. I have realized, how rare they are to find. I have since purchased the one, from Simon. Many thanks to all, and a Merry Volvo Xmas to one and all. Beachy.
