Were you responding to Flemming's question?

18.1L/100km = 5.52km/L. So Flemming is correct.

In the UK this equates to 15.6 miles per gallon, and they are right to question it - that is terrible! According to spec it should be in the order of 36mpg.

Flemming - I am not sure I trust the app. Calculate it yourself based on a full tank. Or check out your in-car stats by pressing 'O' on the right side of the steering wheel.

Hi folks. I've been paying for a Volvo Cars App sub myself for the past couple of years and have it linked to my car. When servicing last month at a UK Volvo franchise, I noticed that the yearly sub cost is included in the service fees so raised this with Volvo after the service.

The fact that the franchise dealer hasn't bothered to tell me this in previous years and the fact that they don't bother do other things that should be included like vehicle health checks but happily sting you for a ridiculous price is a rant for another day.

Anyway, I've received a 4 digit PIN from Volvo which is assume covers the subscription but no idea what to do with the PIN. Any ideas? I'm reluctant to have to have any further dealings with the franchise service dept due to their general complete uselessness.

Pin is used to activate the app, not sure how you'd reactivate an already activated app to take advantage of the included subscription rather than the one you paid for without uninstalling it all and starting again though.

If you find a good mean dealer near Edinburgh do say, I'm not aware that there is one myself. Certainly John Clark can't fix my car, and damaged it when it was in January. It's become such a joke the service manager knows the reg no when I walk in.

Yes, It's JC and their service department is very poor. It's the second year in a row that they haven't fulfilled the service full items (should have learned my lesson first time). I wouldn't be that bothered if they didn't charge such a high price for the servicing. It's premium prices for an amateur / budget service. If I go with Volvo to service next year, I'll probably take a day off work and drive to Clelands or Camerons/Strathmore rather than use JC again.

I probably could take it into JC to resolve but TBH, I might just pay the 35 quid out my own pocket to renew rather than driving an hour each way, cross city to Newbridge and have to deal with them again.
