Default quick flip to gas

normally our V70 takes a min or 2 to get onto gas when its started up, sometimes less than 30 seconds if the engines warm, or its a hot day.

however, a couple of times recently even though its cold its flipped over to get within 5 seconds of starting, then has to revert back to petrol and wont go back onto gas until you turn the car off and restart it.

any ideas of whats causing this and the cost to sort

thanks

By your despcription there you have an after market conversion. It sounds like a temp sensor is faulty possibly. Realy needs hooking to the software to have a look at all the readings.

What make of system do you have?

nope, its the factory fitted system

it goes onto gas less than 5 seconds after starting, splutters alot and then seems to go ok, but after a while goes back to petrol (light stays on the "petrol" button) and wont go back onto gas.

turn the eingine off, start again and it seems to be happier.

its happened 3 times in the last couple of weeks
