Engine: D5: - 7 seats

Hello all,
I am attracted to a 7 seat version of the v70 d5 as an upgrade to my 02 Primera estate ( thats what I'm hoping anyway!). Does anyone know if you can buy a 7 seat version of the awd or XC70 - I havent seen any for sale so I think it probably isnt an option. Thanks in advance.

There where seats available for the V70 at some stage but due to safety reasons they have been withdrawn..you may find some at breakers but not from any dealers..the rear compartment of car has the crumple zone and personally as a parent i wouldnt like to place my family there..

I had a rear seat conversion in my V70 and was handy when the kids were small but as they grew used to complain about the seating position and leg room. Only any use for day to day use not long runs.

+1 to what the other guys have mentioned.
Suggest you try and have a good look for a car with a 7 seat option just to make sure and size the kids up...

Also one item – part of the dealer fit 7 seat option is the modification to the tailgate & adding in a lock barrel under the exterior handle for safety. If you have a look you’ll see your (non 7 seater) V70 has provision for this lock. So if you do end up getting the bits from a breaker – then make sure you get everything!
(although the key will be different)
