Default Key fob battery replacement

Ill get the posting right in the end....

3rd try

Whats the procedure for replacing batteries in the remote key fob. Is it a simple change and away, or does the car have to be made to recognise the fob again?

Default batteries

just open the fob up, remove the old battery, and insert the new one, making sure that the positive is the correct way. there is no need whatsover to need re programing.

I can vouch for this having dropped my key the other day and watching it fly apart! Battery back in and cover on and all OK again!

My wife put the keys through a 30 degree wash cycle having left them in her trousers. Dried it out for a day in the sun, put a new battery in, still works.

There is some rubber padding inside to keep the electronics inside from dying from slight moisture, but a bit of care does help

You'll need a single CR2032 3V battery, which is a pretty standard one. And the screw is a Torx-T8 screw.
