For those interest I have just posted pictures of one of the Titans I bought from Simon last week.

These are in the 850/V70 section of the gallery.

What do you think ?

Simon can give you details of who did them if you are interested.

I think they look very impressive and have been refurbished to a high standard. Simon certainly was correct in his sales description that they are like new.
I'm not familiar with Titan wheels but the colour seems rather unusual. I was expecting either silver or dark grey but in your pictures it appears to be a bronze colour. Is that how you would describe the colour and is that the original colour?

Simon

They are in the original Dark Anthracite that appeared on early T5's - I understand that they later made them in a lighter shade.

If your'e going to the National you will be able to check them out in the flesh.

Current titans are in a lighter anthracite than the first lot - as my set's original colours proved.

3 were the dark anthracite used for the early T5-Rs and the fourth was a similar colour to my Volans, no doubt a replacement for a smashed alloy.

Since I was refurbing them for a concours car most likely to be the original T5-R, I chose to go for the dark option.

I always thought anthracite was black as it is a name for a type of coal. The wheels are a bronze colour though rather than a shade of silver?

whats the correct paint code then? i would like to have the next refurbers paint them as close to the original colour as possible, as my t5-r is a december 1994 and pressumably would have had the dark colour.
