Yeah well, if it's anything to go on the cheapest car to insure is a Fiat Panda. The old square ones. And also Minor 100's/moggies. But depends on what your after and your age/driving record obviously.
I've found that German cars are the most expensive to insure, Japs can be cheap and British are generally cheap. Old British is probably cheapest for big engines. The old SD1 3.5 is just the cheapest V8 I can insure I think at around £3k. Depends entirely what your after. |

The SD1 V8s are slow as hell though...the insurance is cheap for a reason! Similarly, if the 2.0 V6 in the 75 is a same as the 2.5 (KV6), avoid...it's a piece of junk. I guess it's nice while it's working...but very fiddly to work on if it goes wrong! I guess it might be sourced via the old tie-in with Honda, though, being usually small for being a V6...?
I'd avoid messing with the engine too much, as the 1.4 will always be the "cheap" option...best on fuel, cheap tax, etc...and even if you went to town on engine work, it would still be slower than a stock 360, and you'd kill the (pretty good) fuel economy. If you got it cheaply, you might make a nice profit on that, as it's pretty tidy looking. Otherwise, drive it...it'll be some very cheap motoring! cheers James

Cheers foggy, yeah I don't wanna do a lot. In fact it's growing on me just left as it is. Took it out in the rain today, back end might have slipped out a bit :P
I won't trash it though. I wanted a bit of wreck when I bought it so I could modify and thrash it but it's way too good for that. The V6 in the 75's aren't Honda engines as far as I know and they do like to go through coil packs. But then they sound nice as well. Dunno, gonna get my Justy fixed then I'll decide what to do with it. |

Guys, I know I have only owned this for a short while. I am now fairly bored of it. It feels really unresponsive compared to my justy. Don't think it's my sort of car. I love the way it drives but it just feels like a tank, so looking for a bigger engine. Once my Justy is fixed which should be by the end of next week, my 340 will be up for sale. I may be in the market for a 360 if I can find one :P
When I do sell it I will put another thread on here with more pics and info but if anyone is interested I am looking for £650 ONO. 66k, full service history, 2 previous owners, tax till August, MOT till June. Get back to me if you're interested |
