Put my 940 beastie in for its annual appointment today.
Straight through.............No problems. So now I have 12 Months and 3 weeks until the next one, because I put it in early. Heaven!!

Show-off. Not even an advisory?
Still, it keeps another 900 on the roads, where they belong.

I think I was hoping too much for a sail boat M.O.T?
However, when I got a call from the garage I held my breath as the words ' your car failed the M.O.T on.......... (sweat, sweat, sweat)... 'two front brake hoses - which will add an additional £42.00 to the £54.00 M.O.T fee if you would like the repaairs carried out today?' No brainer really! Very relieved but equally satisfied as there were no advisories at all except that the tester congratulated me on keeping her in otherwise 1st class condition. Not bad for 223,000 miles so far? Oh crikey - road tax due in two weeks eeeekkkkk!!!!!!! Forgot - the wife's car tax is due too !!!

I hope I am as lucky as one of mine is due for test on 31st so I have booked the old girl in for the 29th and will wait with fingers crossed. It is the emissions that worry me the most, as with 243K miles under her belt she is awful on fuel even for a 960. If it's a fail I will have the difficult choice of fix or break. I can only hope. It is truely a wonderful feeling when you get that sheet of paper saying you have another twelve months. What did you pay for the test? Both my local testing stations charge £29 and not the £54 I think they are allowed to.
