please show me where you have seen that written down , I've never seen that in my 45 years experience with access to all volvos data ..
There has always been a spot in the service schedule for auto gearbox oil change .. It is wise to change it around 54000 miles .

Not seen anything written, but Volvo say only if subjected to 'harsh conditions'. That's for cars used by mug punters. Strangely for taxis and other fleet-type operators they advise periodic changes. Nothing to do with longer warranty obligations at all...
