Default C70 convertible

In August bought a 2003 convertible as a winter project. Needed several things doing and the roof didn't work. Have got the roof working except when you open it the toneau cover doesn't close, then when you close the roof it all closes as it should. I have changed the position sensors at the cover and on the drivers side at the back of the door near the hinge. Just wondered if anyone has any ideas why the lid wont close.

Thanks Steve.

From practical experience...

One day back in 2016 (luckily warm and sunny), my roof threw a bit of a wobbly and ended up with just about a 1" (2.54cm) gap between the roof and the top of the windscreen. And it stuck there - regardless of what I tried doing with the switch.

Luckily, my Volvo indy is quite near to me and I drove there... one-handed as the other hand was doing the job of hanging onto the roof to prevent it snatching open. Luckily, the car is an auto so I didn't need to change gear!

Anyway, my indy put the car on the computer to check everything out. Luckily, no broken parts; just a couple of minor adjustments somewhere in the depths and a couple of electronic adjustments to the roof control module via the computer. Half-an-hours work (that I could never have done) and no problems since.

There are so many things that potentially could be wrong that it does need the 'real kit' to sort it properly. But just my opinion!

Glad you got it sorted.

I wish mine had been that easy when it happened!
