Default S80 intermittent non starting SOLVED

Just a heads up.. my S80 d5 04 plate would not start every now and then , sympton was turn key, click from relay but no starter spin.... Traced the fault to wee wire on starter solenoid assembly, the one you can see at front... Cleaned up the contact and added a touch of copper grease to keep the moisture out... All good now... Hope it helps someone at some point .

I had exactly this last weekend. It was a bit dark and I couldn't see the wire, but after I put my hand down to feel what was there, it started again, so I assumed I'd moved the wire. To my shame, I haven't got around to cleaning it up yet
