Tail lights not working
Hi, I have a 1973 164 and the LHS (near side?) tail lights have stopped working.
I recently acquired the car from my Dad and imported the car to the UK (from RSA) about 3 months ago. The tail lights were all working about 4 weeks ago (I remember checking them) and the car passed it's MOT about 6 weeks ago (so they must've been working) - and I'm certain the car has not been involved in any accident since then. But for some reason, the LHS rear tail light, both number plate lights and the LHS front park light are no longer working. I've checked the bulbs and the wiring (cleaned earth points and tried to clean male/female connector clips) but to no avail. Could it be the onset of the wet weather (there does always seem to be a lot of condensation in the boot) or is there some other 164-trick I'm missing? Many thanks Alan |

RE: Tail lights not working
Check the fuse, lights go in pairs, front to back.

RE: Tail lights not working
Thanks Nick, it was the fuse. Fuse number 10 is for the LHS park lights and the number plate lights.
The fuse wasn't blown so I took it out, cleaned the ends and voila. Thanks again. |
