..and the Portuguese cache of course!!
those Portuguese love their 140/164s..... I'm tempted by ODR but lack of photos may mean it's bubbly in all the usual places - below the rear lights looks grotty.....plus it's a blooming auto...

Billy - spoke to auction place yesterday and they admitted it needs a total respray. No mention of any rust bubbles though. but they say the paint is "tired" although it has had new rear wheel arches, but needs work around the sliding roof and rear window due some rusting.
Not seen the car or in need of it, but its a lot more realistically priced than those on carandclassics so if in the area I would definitely look at it. Ring them - they know a lot about it and seem honest enough. P |

As far as I am aware only 75MY 164's had handbrake in the middle, they were really 264's with 164 front end for US only as PRV engine didn't meet emission requirements. Out of interest does anyone know what engine was originally intended for 264 or possibly 284, as I understand Volvo only joined PRV consortium following oil crisis.
I will try posting some photos |
