I filled in the forum on Monday late PM, the reply from the fuzz arrived in today’s mail.
They gave me the offer of the speed awareness course , obviously I’m going to take it.

So let me get this straight...you went just 7 (your first post) or 12 (another one of your posts further down) above the speed limit and that has what based on your reaction sounds to me like serious consequences?

I mean they are serious about speeding here in Switzerland but going 7 miles above the speed limit will "just" get you a hefty fine (~210 GBP if within city limits and ~135 GBP otherwise) but that's it. No comparison to Germany...even 20 miles above the limit on the autobahn is still only like 100 GBP.

What is that course you are talking about and what would happen if you were not offered one or refused to take it?

I was 7 mph more than the speed limit (30mph limit) on the outskirts of a village in the countryside.
The speed awareness course costs £100 & two half hours of some prat telling you how much you don’t know .

Wait...you get penalty points for being 7(!) mph above the limit?

You Brits must be even more compliant than the Swiss...
