Default !989 760 Diesel Estate

I bought her in Feb of this year as I have always wanted one of these since I was a kid, I'm only thinking of selling as I fancy a change.

Yes she has done 266,XXX miles but runs as sweet as a nut,she uses no oil or water, starts first touch of the key hot or cold and makes no odd noises or overheats, weather sat in traffic or towing my caravan (only done twice) Smokes a little when first startled in the morning but nothing OTT only for a few seconds. No smoke when driving, if pushed you get light grey.

Likewise the four speed auto changes up/down as it should and the kick down works as it should.

Inside is in very good condition for the age and miles, the drivers seat is worn on the bolster and there is a very small hole, the colouring is also faded a little. On the passenger seat one of the seams as come undone a little, the back seats are fine. The headlining is very good with no sagging and only two very small marks. The carpets are good as there has always been plastic matt's down. There is a Volvo dog guard and load cover also. The head unit is from a newer Volvo and there is a 6 disc stacker in the boot under the floor.

Outside she is also good, there is a dent on the front edge of the bonnet on the drivers side (was there when I got her) and age related marks here and there, but nothing which detracts for her overall looks, there is no lacquer peeling or anything like that, the paint still shines up nice. The tailgate has the Normal corrosion around the number plate and the right bottom corner. The only rust in on the drivers side sill at the bottom of the drivers door and a little at the bottom of the rear passenger wheel arch both minor. All the chrome trim is nice and nothing is missing.

Every toy on the car works apart from the A/C, I was told by the previous owner that it did work last summer. All the dials work as they should as do the electric windows/mirrors etc. The drivers seat works but needs a little fiddling with to move back and forward ( I'm her only driver so its never bothered me)

She has a Volvo tow-bar fitted with twin electrics, (grey lead untested)

A previous owner has fitted many 960 parts IE wheels, glass sunroof, headlinner, door cards outside temp gauge and other bits.

She does need a couple of small jobs doing, The rubber mount that goes around the prop shaft wants renewing, and there is a small diesel leak from the injector pump, I have been told that its from the cold start mechanism, not bad just being honest. The front discs are a little wrapped and have been like this since I got her, I was going to replace them (only £15) but when I took the wheels of and looked they were almost new with almost new pads so I thought I'd let the pads run down first. You only notice when braking hard or from high speed The only other job is to reconnect the door lock on the drivers door, you have to unlock it from the passenger door (where I live I never lock her LOL)

For her MOT she had a new steering rack, a ball joint, a bulb and a very small patch welded somewhere underneath.

She will have new rear disc's and pads before she goes.

I have plenty of service history to go with her.

Any questions please ask away, I'm quite happy to keep her I just fancy a change, I would drive her anywhere and did a 700 mile round trip in her one day with no probs at all and felt fine when I got home.

I might P/X or swap W.H.Y but it must have T-n-T

Sorry for going on, The pics shown where took when I got her I will update them at the weekend.

Craig

Thanks very much.

A previous owner put quite a few 960 bits on it including the rear badge. She is a 760.

Its amazing how many people notice it.

Would you accept £750? Or an "L" reg LSE (long wheel base) 4.2 litre V8 on LPG, with 100 litre gas tank?
