Default 06 V70 D5 leather seat split

There's a split in a seam of the back of my driving seat.

It's not currently very big (only noticed it yesterday, not sat in it since) but it's about 4 inches or so, just up from the seat on the seam by the door.

Is it easy to find someone to fix it and how expensive would it be?

Advice welcome, please.

A leather worker would probably charge around £40 to stitch it. Should be plenty of automotive upholsterers in England that you could use.

Smile Drivers leather seat seam split

Picture below before it was mended by a York leather repair company. They did say it was on the limit of what could be repaired.
The repair can not be seen, it did cost £100.

Mine's not that bad - it's in the same place, but mine is a simple case of the sewing coming undone on the seam.

Ok, thanks, I'll look up an upholsterer near me in Leicestershire.

Thanks, gents

Had the same with mine-stitching had split so the seam opened up--with a bit of perseverance-a strong needle, strong thread, and a pair of pliers to push the needle thro I managed to pick the original holes up and repair ok.

Mine was quite badly split along the seam when I got the car. I would have loved to have has someone do it professionally, but I couldn't afford that, so I did it myself. Not the best job in the world, but it saved me a lot of money and I don't notice it at all in normal use.

Here is the thread from some time back with some pictures. http://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showthread.php?t=247202
