I was in the service today with my PP pipe. It will need to be replaced but apparently new pipes travel from Sweden 4 days. So I will have it replaced only next week.
I was also told that this new pipe have a different product code than the previous ones and it should be "stronger". The technician also told me that Volvo replaced these pipes around last summer with new ones, which are supposed to be better designed.
Anyone got replaced PP pipe after summer and already ended up with a burst one? Or has Volvo managed to solve this problem?

I had one fitted in Nov. 1500 miles later need another. I'm not 100% sure if it was the same hose though. I know that the one that burst in Dec had been replaced in May.

I had a PP hose replaced in Oct (that's my third one) and so far it's been okay. However the car hasn't done many miles since then.

We had a PP hose replaced in July 19 which went 5 days later whilst on holiday in France after 1000 miles. That was replaced in late august and that one has now gone again (just before Christmas) and just waiting to find time to get the car in for its fourth replacement pipe! It comes out of warranty in July, so really hope this is the last time it needs doing.

The new PP hoses are upgraded and hopefully stronger. Last week I saw a service bulletin, which stated, that the hoses will be replaced 100% free of charge for the first 48 months and 50% between 48 and 60th month.

So my with the usual pop/bang my PP hose burst on Friday. As the car is now out of warranty does anyone have details of the TSB referred to? I'm hoping that when dealers are open I can get it repaired for free (again) as still within the 48 months mentioned.

Thanks

Chris

I’m on the 4th one I’m aware of, but when I had to have my front suspension replaced in January I noticed the paperwork showed the hose had been replaced too.

Sounds serious, why was it replaced?

Knocking noise. Started with track rod ends and suspension links, then new shock absorbers and steering rack. No idea why. I just waft around in it. Never been off road.

That doesn't good. How many miles had you done. What exactly did they replace?
