Default Interior light problem

Hi all, I've got an issue with the interior lights on my XC90. I can turn them on with buttons but they won't come on when the car is unlocked. The boot light doesn't come on either. If I use the yellow button on the remote to activate the approach lighting they come on. Any ideas as it's really annoying. Thanks in advance.

Indeed the other evening I was sitting in the car with the engine off, door open, nav screen on, no interior lights on when suddenly: the nav screen dimmed and the interior lights came on, without me touching a thing.

What just happened, me thinks...?

Ah hah: it just change from Day to Night
