Default Should I replace working Heater Matrix

I am just wondering if I should replace the Heater Matrix as a preventative measure, I think it’s still the original, or wait for any signs of coolant loss etc.

I don't have any issues with it, no misting or leaking/dampness or any loss of coolant in the system and get good heat from it.

Leave well alone.Your original is probably of better quality than a replacement manufactured these days.Even Original Volvo parts are made a lot cheaper and nastier these days. You've got a car that was built correctly and engineered to be the best ... instead of built to a budget as everything is these days.

Leave it. If you run into complications in its removal you can damage the firewall coupling, which is a nightmare. No point in fixing something like that if it isnt broken.

It wouldn’t take long to at least have a look at it. There were no outward signs of mine leaking but a quick look showed it to be weeping and in need of replacement.

I'd not replace it if it wasn't leaking but check it carefully. If the bottom tank is very brown it's likely it's been there a long time. In that case I'd probably get one and have it on the shelf. They aren't that expensive. Plenty of changes and details on YT's Robert DIY. He seems to be able to swap new ones in pretty quickly.
