Default V70 winter car cover.

Ok so winters almost with us, so any good pointers or recommendations for where to buy a reasonable quality full car cover?
My car is a V70 estate, mkI year 1999/2000.
A few years back I bought three from Aldi or lidl cheap for my 240 estate as finding anything long enough resulted in mega money elsewhere.
Been looking on amazon but the sizing is all over the place.
They kept the rain and snow off, it doesn’t need to be breathable,
Thanks all.

I would also like to know! I am sure there are plenty of people keen to find out what is the best fit at the right price!

By coincidence I went to Lidl this morning and picked up their weekly news sheet. They will be selling covers again as from this Thursday.

Not sure what size is needed for the V70 but their XL size is L534 x W178 x H120 cm.

They are £9.99 ea. so will probably only last one season but at that price worth buying a couple.

It may fit, V70 width is 176cm and length is 471cm, but the height is 143cm, so its gonna look like a 1940's school boy

Ah! Bit before my time. (Honestly Guv.)

They also do a SUV size which is L465 x W177 x H144, so another compromise (Don't have a picture of me at secondary school in my Dad's old jacket so you need to use your imagination). LOL

Thanks Turboboy for the info.
I remember buying several years ago from Lidl and they were the largest they did, presumably XL. And fitted the 240 estates very well, a big old lump the 240 and although I can’t compare it to the v70 size wise would think it would be fairly similar.
The measurements given by Bashy are very much needed and appreciated, can I ask how you found the picture of me Lol?
When they quote sizes are the sizes given front bumper to back bumper along the side of the car?
Or bumper over the roof to bumper?
most of my clothes were too big or too small as hand me downs from siblings and relatives as well as jumble sale clothes were order of the day, amazing how much pleasure I got from having something new to me,
Most of mine didn’t get passed on as I was always a “ rake about” never indoors, climbing trees playing hide and seek out in the fields meant holes and tears as a regular thing .
So Lidl do an suv size? Sounds intriguing.
I can’t imagine you turbo back then but I was born early sixties, hand knitted jumpers made from old jumpers unwound and re used. Sandals and shorts. Oh and a short back and sides haircut Lol.
Thanks all.

I bought this for the C70 convertible and another for the Stag, great fit and quality so maybe a tad snug for a V70 so the next size up should be fine. A bit more expensive than Lidl?

Sherbet Dips.

And as for Wagon Wheels. They were huge. Lasted a family of four all week.

I'm a bit older than you but the early sixties have a great significance for me. Our crowd were mostly "Mods" with appropriate short "bum freezer" jackets, tapered trousers, "winkle picker" shoes and our hair was longer than most adults approved of.

Joined the Army as a boy soldier and we had to endure the ceremony of being marched to the camp barber. Needless to say on my first leave home my Mother said that was the first time she had seen me with a proper haircut. As you say, short back and sides was the order of the day!
