Default V70R AWD Self Levelling - new front schocks

Need to replace front shocks, springs are OK. Thinking if I am going to do this, rather than Volvo parts, what about Bilstein/Koni alternatives? Aim would be to reduce pitching/roll into corners.

Looking at sites most suppliers have kits/parts for V70, but all seem to exclude R, AWD and self levelling cars.

i think you will find peter that as the nivomat springs are different to the standard they are not available unless you mix and match...springs made for the standard damper will be interchangable between models and marques....
if i was in your position i would seriously consider dumping the nivo's and purchasing a full set of koni adjustables ,two new top mounts and two coil spring mounts...unless of course you tow......
cheers

Thumbs up Just front dampers need doing

Going to leave nivomat's on, I don't normally tow, but do carry the odd large lod in the back.

Will take a look at Bilstein or Koni adjustables for front - need to reduce pitching on entering roundabouts etc.

let us know how you get on? as my handling on the AWD R isn't too bad at the moment, but she's on 95k now and they are a little tired,

Gary,

If you want to reduce pitching in roundabouts why don't you buy a set of uprated anti-roll bars from IPD

http://www.ipdusa.com/ProductsCat.as...739&RootID=629

I fitted these to my old V70R along with the Volvo front strut tower brace and it made a world of difference, and worth every penny in my opinion.
