Default Drivers seat torn

Hi forum users,
New to this site and it’s my last resort!. I have owned my 09 plate c30 2 litre SE for 2 years now and it’s great. Only done 64000 miles but the drivers seat has torn in a couple of places. It’s a bit unsightly so was wondering if You can get replacement seat covers. I spoke to a Volvo dealer who suggested a new seat but at upwards of £300 excluding labour I gave that option a miss!
It’s a heated seat but surely you don’t need to buy the whole seat. I know I could buy the cheap generic seat covers you can get but I was hoping for a proper fitting and matching Volvo seat cover.
Your thoughts on this would be much appreciated.

you can get JUST the seat cover on its own, from volvo and fit it yourself, or pay them to
Whole seat isnt needed BUT you Will notice a colour difference between the base and the back when replacing just one, you can Also buy the back as well ,If that bothers you

it takes time and a few skinned knuckles is all a pair of "HOG RING pliers" would be the only specialist tool needed to do the job

its fiddly and means taking the whole seat out of the car (disconnecting the battery 20mins before you start , Not forgetting to leave it disconnected till Everything is done and paying attention to the air bag in the seat And the ones in the car.)

you Could find a 2nd hand seat and replace the lot, or just the base cover, But they will be worn
or find a auto leather repair specialist near you

Have you looked at Huddersfield Volvo Breakers? They usually sell used seat sets off cars they’ve broken up.

Where are the tears on your seat? Have you approached a company who repair car leather seats?

Many thanks to both Andy_d and the thong for your very quick replies. I will check out both options and let you know how I get on.

I used a guy in Chesser in Edinburgh to stitch a new section into the driver's seat of our V50. Volvo wanted £180 for the seat base upholstery plus about the same again in labour. I had it done for £90 all in.
