Scaleable Platform Architecture (SPA) the max will be a four cylinder engine andwill apply to every vehicle minus the V40 sized cars.

How far away? I have no inside knowledge but presumably in a couple of years or so...
What I am saying is the new model is probably an improvement but only superficially so.
If you want the very latest model, then go for it (and pay top dollar!), but if you want a good deal go for the current one. The engines are very good indeed. You will save a lot of money and have a great car (if my experience is anything to go by!).

(PS: Your wife fell for the Evoque?? Oh dear, no hope for her!!)

The Evoque is a very nice car to look at (my Wife has very, very good taste), but overall the XC60 is way ahead in terms of safety, performance, reliability and cost. This car will be hers and I'll drive it as and when. It's the extras I'm worried about $$$$$.

Default Web links to New Volve Range, including 2014 XC60.

I was finding it hard to wait till next week (tomorrow) for information on the XC60 facelift. I've discovered the new range on the Volvo Cars Sweden Website. I've used Google translator so I could read it. Hope some of you find it useful:

New Volvo Range commercial (captions in English, could be the new UK add).

New 2014 XC60 page.

Your thoughts would be appreciated.

Question Pic of 2014 XC60 Rdesign

http://indianautosblog.com/2013/03/v...uto-show-69778

Less silver trim, no rear silver skid plate, doesn't have the same exhaust pipes as the 2014 XC60 SE, improved front bumper......

What do people think?
