What year is it?

Do you feel the suspension stiffen when in advanced?

Any anti-skid messages?

Brian

Had my R for 3 years. Post some pics.
Think its wander rather wonder.

My S60R 2005 year did the side hop, the first time it happened i did stop the car to get out and see what had gone wrong, Was worse on A/B roads fast sweeping bends which have a bump or manhole cover halfway through the bend.
The thing that did really reduced sensation was getting the rear toe set to 0,Degrees.
But my V70R has never felt like it , the best mod you can do to is fit the iPd sway bars i did this last year and the difference is night & day .
Good to hear your love you R.

When I bought my V70R I had two suspension problems.

1. Front Monroe strut.
2. Suspension control unit. (sits on rear axle)

Once fixed I have never experienced the so called side hop.

Maybe I'm just lucky.

the year of mine is 53 plate, i got in touch with my garage man he told me the front shocks have gone so he told me to try this place he knows and they said it was £170 each, i thought its a bargain lol, but on more investigating he couldnt get hold of them lmao, he told me it will be about 4 to 5 weeks from today 11/07/2016. even the breakers yard near me dont have any, so for now i am having the timing belt and water pump replaced as i have just got the car just to be on the safe side, and for now i will have to put up with the extra bounce on the fron end ha ha

The front struts are Monroe.
They are about £230 each. A Volvo dealer will charge twice that.

Have the suspension control unit checked first.
If faulty it is a £1K bill for an exchange unit.

My suggestion is to go to a Volvo dealer and have car checked out.
Will cost a few quid but may save money in long run.
If it needs too much money, sell it.

Sorry to post bad news.
