Default 2017MY V60CC - is it worth installing the Volvo app?

I see the Volvo app on the App Store but not sure what features will be useful with my car, if any? It doesn’t have a sim, so is only ‘connected’ when paired with my phone. And I expect things like pre-conditioning the cabin only work with the current generation, possibly only the hybrids? So is there anything useful that would make it worth installing? The blurb doesn’t give much detail about the sort of features I can expect.

I didn't bother with my 2017MY, but there is a SIM slot in the glovebox.. But the internet is no longer supported. Also Volvo have an offer on this month if your V60 is an automatic for remote start for £99, which you could do via the app.
