They are Shame more folks don't use them like they should, they're not a grandads car at all, impression I get is most are driven a couple of times a year to a Volvo meet somewhere for the weekend and parked up in a field with guys wearing straw hats discussing your latest accessory and if it's original volvo or not while he's sipping his wine...then he wonders why his Amazon breaks down on the way home because his fanbelt bust through lack of use LoL...Now flame me ;0)

We're not all like that. I drive mine like I hate it, and it keeps on coming back for more.

Yep, nothing quite as satisfying as making people realise that a 45 year old car is actually pretty quick...

I like wine, no straw hat for me. Also like the noise when driven hard, certainly puts a smile on my face. Some of us do get bored sat in a field all day. Standard cars are good to see, though the other non standard ones are still being used and loved. Chris.

The old beast is driven fairly hard and noisily every day,and we are off to France in it for a two week touring holiday at the end of the month. The hats are going too,but will only be worn when out of the car,as I would hit them on the door frame when getting in.

Had some friends visiting (first rear seat passaengers!) and they thoroughly enjoyed the drive to lunch. Here's what it was like from their perspective on a typical Harare afternoon:
