Well, as I posted in your original post on your issues with the car. I said :-

"To help your mental state of mind, the best option, and cheapest option would be to pull the bulb out and just use the car as it is. I would have given up long ago, so I bow to your determination."

I think that's all the new owner will do about it )

Dean, I fixed the EML, before I sold the car.
I ran around in it before it went off to its new home.
The new owner gave me £500 for it, which he reckoned was an absurd amount - in a good way.
It now lives in Wakefield and the EML hasn't re-appeared. New owner is very happy.
