Default Volvo Software

Hello, I have a v50, 1.6d pre facelift 2007 estate wagon.

I have just put a new dpf in and think I need to tell the car’s computer it has a new DPF installed.

I read somewhere that I need an interface, a laptop an some software. I have a laptop, but am wondering can anyone can point me in the direction of a decent interface and software please? I searched here and can’t find anything.

Thank you for any help 🙂

Yes, you need VIDA (Volvo's diagnostic software) and DICE (A Volvo diagnostic cable/unit). There used to be a guy on here who'd sell you the whole kit and support you setting it up but can't remember the username.

There's a thread on eBay purchases here...
