Can a v70 throttle body be fitted the wrong way round?
It has been suggested that my throttle body, once it was Lucazs'ed a while back, may have been fitted round the wrong way and this is why the car will not rev above 4000rpm.
Can anyone shed any light on this? Ta

Well I can confirm from personal experience that it's possible to install it the wrong way around. At the time, I suspected that it contributed to some issues that I was having but was not able to confirm. Rotating it is not a big deal. 30min, tops. Just be sure to triple check the tightness of each of the four bolts with re-installation.

I can only go on my P1 2.4n/a V70,and I'd have said it can't be fitted the wrong way round.however from what pierremcalpine says on yours it can.Check that the electrical plug is properly and fully connected and as has been said when fitting make sure all 4 bolts are fully tightened.

I think we may be talking about different cars chaps. Mine is a Y plate 2.4T and it looks like the throttle body is at the front behind the turbo intake pipe. Seen a video and the guy removed the fan housing before he could get access to it.

Nah, pretty sure it's the same set-up. I think you may be referring to this video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=obUAQNwQERI&t=449s While he suggests that removing the fan is the best way to do it, you really don't need to remove it. Instead you can come at the ETM from the RHS inserting your arm below the manifold and reaching way over to the other side. It's really just a matter of unplugging the harness and taking 4 bolts off. You have to do it by feel since you won't be able to see your work but it's pretty straightforward.
