hello everyone.

i am new to this forum thing so please excuse me if the answer to the following question is already on the forum somewhere.

i have a 53 plate s80 t6 with the rti screen that comes out of the top of the dashboard. is there any way of making the search on the system look for postcodes. maybe the latest discs or some other setting change?

grateful for any responses.

andy.

Hi when you type in the address you should notice postcode in the top right corner (from memory). When you highlight that then you can enter the postcode. Most versions only allow you to enter the first 4 characters of the poscode wheras most satnavs like TomTom etc. Allow you to enter the full postcode

I've bought the latest 2008 DVD for my S80 and get the following (it did work!):

- A silly "don't sue us" screen that I have to OK before doing anything when I turn it on
- Good updated road data, including most new and changed roads upto around 2007
- Working traffic alert information (which works rather well) - at last!

But still no post codes.

The 2008 S80 I drove with the latest RTI system had all of the above + post codes and a couple of other minor improvements like plan return journey automatically etc. Don't know if that was DVD (like mine) or hard disk based like the XC90.
