I've dealt with this chappie in the past - he is an ok guy. It is amazing how many cars he can squeeze into a small space and keep the neighbours on side.

I ordered mine via an online salvage site and was able to specify and order one of the same colour and approx age. So did not appear different from the colour of the rest of my 2003 V40 and no respray required.
Did the same, phone around and be lucky.

I'm working on it.. found one for £60 but it's the wrong colour - just thinking if I got that one how much would the respray cost?

My local paint sprayer who is very good and works on his own charges £120 per panel. Doesn't matter what the panel is, pretty much the same price. That is for a 'wet glass' finish.

Default v40 wing

Hi Martin,I have 1997 v40 and Irecently took both wings off and gave them a good rubbing down on the inside. Bolts on bottom need a good wire brushing to get socket to fit.I also changed front headlights,I had front indicators as well but they did not fit the wing so depending on the age of your car another wing might be different.

There are two types of wing: Phase 1 and Phase 2. They are not interchangeable as the indicator lights are a different size and shape, but more importantly the wheel arch is in a different place.

thanks for the pointer - my old girl is a 1.9D Sport, so I was thinking, she must be a Phase 2?

thanks

What year is it? I can confirm our P1 is T reg, and the P1. 5 was a V reg. And those had identical wings and indicators. Identically rusty too, but that's not important right now :-)
