Would a hydraulic tappet make that noise, especially as it's start up when not all the oil has got around the system???

Hi,

Mine did the same, never got to the root cause of the problem. Solution: sell it during the summer, and get a 2,4 petrol. I did this last year, and never regretted it. Diesels are bound to die out anyways, might as well swap it before it's too late and the price is dropping.

Br,
Balint
