Central locking on drivers door not working on My V40. - Page 2

I've had this happen when using the key to unlock.
I had to lock the car with the key, then use the remote gain,
Another time of having the lock knob on the door move up a little but then go back down. I got over this by using a pair of long nose pliers to grab the knob when it moved up, if you can't do that, get the knob to move up and try to prise a screwdriver in to wedge the knob and try to work it up.
It will scratch around the area but sometimes that works and saves taking the door card off.

Hi. Thanks for the reply. the car is 2003 March. I will try what you suggest and see what transpires. I`ve found your FB help info and fixed rear wiper arm as per. Brill ! thanks. VVt rattles also but again ,your FB info has been invaluable.

Chipsnbeer, FWIW mine's still doing this, often 2-3 times a day, and then it'll go for a week or so without trouble.

In this weather I don't fancy taking the door panel off to switch over any components, so as above, I'm simply using the grips from a multitool I've left in the glovebox to pull the button up when it stops locking.
