is my auto 4 speed or 5

my car is a 2000x s40 t4 auto

registered in 4-9-2000

its 1855cc

is it the last of the 4 speeds or one of the new 5 speeds..cant really tell driving it.??lol

I'm guessing, but if you count the number of gearchanges from selecting Drive and then giving it some gas you would be able to count how many gears are in the box. 1>2>3>4 gives three gearchanges.

Edit: Mines the (AW50-42) which is 4 speed.

Depends what you're after really.
Certainly nothing wrong with the gearbox, but if you're wanting to put a lot of power through it then you may well need to change it (not really sure what power the auto box can take)
If you want standard power etc then it's a good combination

If its 1855cc it will be the last of the phase 1 cars.
