It will also take considerably more weight in the back than my aunt's now defunct 965, and still be less tail down. Oh, and it is shorter than a V50...

I've also had four adults in the car, and three full size bikes in the boot at the same time - back seat NOT folded. Ok, so we did take the wheels off, but there was still sufficient length to accommodate the frames & forks.
Oh yes, a truly brilliant medium size family car.
Not bad for a '50's design.

I'm not convinced. You can still get plenty in the back of a V50 (if you have the rear seats down!).

A farmhouse table and chairs went in ok. And for lugging two dogs, the wife and a six man tent with all the gear it does pretty well for my needs.

I will admit. The p2 V70 I had took a lot more, including 2 dumpy bags of logs... still pulled like a train.
