Default Remapping a D3/D4 2.0l 5cyl 163bhp?

This thread is out of curiosity more than anything.

Has anyone on here used superchips or any other remapping company on the D3/D4 2.0l 5cyl 163bhp engine?

Superchips claim 189bhp (up from 163bhp) and 461N.m (up from 400N.m)

Interested to know what the difference feels like and also how it has affected fuel economy and reliability. Also how a standard manual 6spd gearbox copes.

There's no P* option for this engine as far as I can tell which may or may not be a sign it's not a good idea, or could just be that it was never a popular choice when the D5 exists.

I've just found this on the P* website (see attached)

The gains seem massive here, I always thought P* was fairly conservative as it doesn't void the warranty/manufacturers recommendations?

Mine is a manual so not sure how this affects it.

Is Polestar a dirty word? Interested as I have the same machine, manual also.

Don't AWD variants use the 2.4-litre engine?

One of the reasons that I decided against buying a late 5-cylinder 163bhp D4 back in 2018 was that there was no Polestar option.

Not sure but my car isn't the AWD actually so maybe that's the difference...

Either way, does anyone have any experience of a remapped V60 D3/D4 (i.e.: the 5cyl 2.0 163bhp engine)?

You can use BSR tuning but you will only get 188bhp/475 nm for £415 so this engine is probably not suited for much more.
