Any recommendations as to disks and pads that people use, or is it a case for best results use genuine?

I had this on a nearly new Volvo.
The dealer replaced pretty much the whole system.
4 master cylinders, all the flex pipes , new servo.
New clalipers.
Bled lots of times.
Eventually they reluctantly changed the ABS assembly, this cured the problem.
Thankfully this was all under warranty.
They said it was some sort of internal leak, in to an accumulator.

So if nothing else fixes it you may have to change the ABS valve block and motor.
But keep your own electrical part. Make sure you get the right one as there several different types.

Hi RogerB,
This is pretty much where I’m up to less warranty 🙈🔫
But at this stage willing to try most things that don’t involve a petrol can!
Will access the damage for a new unit, Volvo vs Bosch vs used.
Again thanks for all your input so far will sweep through everything again and more then likely bite the bullet for the new Abs pump assy but will report the eventual remedy for this 🙌🏻 Can’t be much left 😂

Found it!

Upon a forensic level inspection found one of the from t break pads had slight damage on the face where it sits against the Caliper carrier and this was causing the pads to wear to a wedge there was 2mm variance across the pad from onboard to outer of the pad surface this was enough to cause soon as new pads went in and located the pistons problem had gone!!!

Thankfully tried this before a Abs pump 🙌🏻 At least the other items was done so don’t have to worry about them for a bit.
Will show the pads when I’ve finished celebrating!🎉

Well done you. Far to much trying to find faults with techno stuff when the vast majority are still the simple mechanical stuff.
