Cars On The Green (Motor Show, Suffolk, June 2016)

Hello,

After going this year to Cars on the Green (Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk) and entering (free of charge) my T4, I was really disappointed with the lack of Volvo activity. There was a saab stand with a few rather basic cars but nothing really representing the full potential of swedespeed. As a result, a lone humble Volvo was overshadowed by the floods of minis and American pickups and muscle which people were drooling over.

So I did say to a friend I wanted next year to be different with a bigger range of Volvos - and a number of them together will be sure to turn heads.

So the event is free to enter and usually falls on a Sunday in June around or on father's day. It's getting bigger and better each year and has an amazing range of cars and vehicles to keep everyone entertained. If you don't like one section, just move on to the next and it really unites everyone and their love of all thing petrol and diesel powered.

This year there were:

DeLoreans, Sierra Cosworths, XR2s, 800BHP Supras, Jags, Camaros, classic barge style mercs, VXR8s and much more..

So if anyone would be interested in joining as a Volvo Owners Group to show their awesome machines - then I'm sure we can cause quite a stir.

I'm more than happy to sort out the applications, keep everyone updated when there's news and get everything moving if we just have some Ovlovs to show and share...

Be great to meet new people and talk about their cars too!

That's great to hear - I follow them on Facebook and know the organisers so will be updating this thread as I hear new news .

I'd certainly be up for this, I'm only 40 minutes down the road and work in Bury quite often. Bring the 855 T5-R.

great bit of variety already! Exciting times.

I would say that a realistic target would be to have the best Swedish cars stand - The Saab owners area didn't seem overly eye catching so this is more than possible hehe
