poor demisting
Hi
read a few threads about poor windscreen clearing, I have changed the cabin filter, also ran the the system without, but still very poor to clear. I have noticed that when it is on windscreen without the filter there is a lot of power from the fan but it is directed down under the glove box where the filter is and not going to the windscreen !!!. If the linkage is not opening could this be mechanical or electrical ?. Any suggestions. |

It might be the flapper in the fan system, or it might be the selector switch on the blink, does the fan change from say face to feet? Or does it just stay in 1 position?

face, feet all ok. just seems very weak on screen, it has AC climate control if that makes any difference.

If you have Climate Control, then when you put on auto, demist and turn up the heat control to red max in that order from left to right, then the AC should come on automatically also. The AC helps to clear the windscreen faster.

Yeah done that, but there's still not much power directed to the screen. Don't even think it would move a piece of paper if it were there!!!!.

It is just too cold Relax, it takes a while to demist it. Try to use these ruber things with the handle to do it manually 100500 times faster...
