u-joints, bearing, etc
Hey guys. Merry christmas all!
I'm ordering parts to replace the driveshaft center support bearing and casing and I want to change u-joints too, because the car has been vibrating a bit. The shaft has one joint on each end right? So I need 2 joints, the bearing assembly, I'll order a tranny rubber mount too to change while i'm there. Anything else I must/should order? Thanks in advance. |

I'm thrown off by this part listed on skandiz for 900s. Propeller shaft Disc joint front. What is this part's function and all 900s have it? Does this mean the shaft has only one u-joint? Sry, this might be the dumbest question ever.

Ok, so by reading the description one can infer that some models have a ujoint at the front and some have a disc joint.

I'm sure there is another uj at the splined section on the front half of the propshaft, as yours is a manual you will need two. |

I was just realising that I needed 2 ujoint anyway, if not 3. So, being a manual I need 2 u joints and possibly a disc joint? I should probably check it's condition first. I just didn't want to drop it, then reasemble it and then have to drop it again. I'm changing the u-joints for sure. But not sure if I should buy the disc joint.

I can't find info on whether the uj for my car are different or not. Skandix says 700s use several different sizes depending on the type of shaft. Does that apply to 900s? And is there an easy way to check it? Other parts website only suggest one type of both uj and disc joint.

btw, not related. but I've been meaning to ask you. Do you have, or know where I should look for, that piece of bumper moulding on the left front side for a 940? It's that part that hiddes the gap between the bumper and the body. It's the only part my car is missing and I don't know the part oem number. Can take a picture later, if description isn'«t uselful.
