Default Sports key on a key ring?

Has anyone managed to put their sports key on a key ring? Just got a brand new V90 yesterday and want to use the sports key as my main key, but I just can’t get a key ring through the small hole in the key which looks like it’s made for a lanyard.

How have you managed this!

You need to find a small keyring and thread it on the fob then thread that ring onto your keyring, you may find a small key ring on your double glazing window lock keys.

I put this one on mine to demonstrate but I just keep mine in my pocket without a keyring.

I would not do that. When battery is up, you are stranded. No physical key to open the car.

If you use the sports key continually the battery will be up in about 12 to 18 months.

I have used mine exclusively for over 4 years, the battery lasts the same as amount of time as main fob, you can hide a physical key from the normal fob in the boot of the car and open the boot via app, but no need really as you get plenty of warning of battery running down, like slow response as well as a message on the dash.
I have opened mine and changed the battery myself and resealed it.

If battery were to run down open car via the VOC app on your phone and place fob in the cup holder and car will start.

My car came with concealed key, I presume for such problems, I do not know if this is standard across all models. The key sits in a recess in the top right hand corner of the glove box.

Didn't use a keyring, used leather chord for necklace making threaded directly through holes in key fob.

I'm using a short Dyneema braided lanyard with the sports key. Been using it for two years now with no problem. Interestingly it had been getting temperamental at opening the car but this was fixed with a software update at the last service.

That’s just your glovebox key- you can’t unlock the car with it. All SPA cars with a lockable glovebox come with 2 glovebox keys.

Is this sports key an option? I don’t think I have that with my MY19 V90 Rdesign.
