Talking My Suspension Is Sorted.

Hello everyone.

If you have read my previous post on my poor ride quality, then read on.

I finally spoke to Hamish at Volvo Tuning and he advised me to go for a Spring / shock / mount upgrade kit.
So I bought it and fitted it.

IT HAS TRANSDFORMED THE CAR. no bangs, no rattles, no squeeks, no wallowing, smoother ride, it actually turnes corners. It feels like a NEW car.

Volvo Tuning you have done it again. THANK YOU VERY, VERY MUCH.

IF you own a Volvo speak to these guys. they really know there stuff.

Brakes next I think... HA HA.

Thanks everyone.
Thanks V.T.

Hi
The springs where from some swedish comany lowering by about 25mm allround, bilstein gas shocks.
With all the mounts and spring cups and drop links sub £500.00 dilivered to my door.

I think good value.

Cheers.

All the shocks where worn, the front strut top spring cup was split and falling apart. The rear shock top mounts where split, this was only visible once they where removed. Everythin was generally worn out.

With the rear springs out, you can see the top spring cup is bolted to the chassis with, i think, an 8mm allen type bolt. On the nearside rear, it wasn't very tight, so that ratteling around i don't think helped...
