Default 2018 XC60 inscription Audio Upgrade

Hi All, loving the leap of interior quality from my Mk1 XC60, nice to be back in well designed seats it’s a thoroughly nice place to be. Returning to the brand after 5yrs in a Jeep the only weak point inside is the standard audio which is ok but lacking against the overall flair of the interior. The Jeep though downmarket materials by comparison had a 9 speaker alpine surround sound with sub which had more audio presence, range and authority. I’m looking to swap out what’s their without going crazy on amplification and bolt-ons.
Looked at incartec but their off the shelf package caters for Mk1 only. If anybody has suggestions of what components are needed or a supplier with a neat solution would really be appreciated. May require an under seat sub although higher performance door speakers with greater low range may provide enough low end fill to suffice.

That thread made very interesting reading and is exactly what I want to do. I'd like to get away without the need for a sub if sufficiently high quality door speakers could be sourced. I'd just like to improve the stock sound system so that it doesn't 'shout' as much when turned up. I find it quite tiring and harsh sounding on anything other than very modest volumes.

It’s an interesting and informative approach, setup of the sub is really useful.
Not really a swap out of factory speakers as I intended, it may rely on the sub given main driver is 3.5” down from 6.5”

From the quoted specs on swedespeed these below fit the bill dimensionally, not sure the crossovers can be used without cocking up the standard wiring:
Focal 165 As3 ACCESS 6.5" 1 Focal Components 3 way drivers kit, 6 1/2" (165mm) for the woofer and 3" (80mm) for the midrange and tweeter

Magnets on the factory items relative to aftermarket are comedy small. No surprise you get an easy Improvement

Strangely no mention of the dash top centre speaker….is this blank in the Boggo spec soundsystem?
