Totally agree....but I think Rockingham want £8K upwards for a weekend event. We wouldn't have been able to do it for £10 per car otherwise.

Rockingham wasn't a mere meet, it was a celebration of all things Volvo. I've been on the Volvo scene for 10 years and nothing like this has ever occurred. What a fantastic day, the photos taken by the wonderful Stephen Evans only give some idea as to how well the day went. The backroom staff who organised the runs on the track, the lasses who supplied tea and coffee all day, many thanks to you all. A few words written on another forum and I hope that the original writer doesn't mind me using them " Feeling the Volvo family love"

So very true, owners and drivers of all the different cars all came together in a great gathering.

Looked like a great event, I was hoping to attend in a mint 142 but the plan failed - daren't attend in a 740 !

You would've been made more than welcome in whichever car you arrived in....mint 142, 740 or even non Volvo.....we had a BMW 3 Series and Fiat 500 on track at one point. Shame you missed it....next time we'll drag you there lol

So many people working together to make the day a great success, even the volunteers who drove the Range Rovers did a superb job....everyone came together, joined in and made it a fantastic day.

'Volvo Family love' nailed it I reckon.

It was great to see so many familiar faces and even better to meet new ones....even if it was a brief thumbs up as they formed behind the lens.

I think one of the biggest thanks must go to Lawrence (Trugga)....strapped into the boot space of a Range Rover all day taking photos. Cold and Windy, bits of track shrapnel being thrown upwards and the occasional blip of the accelerator from the V8 Range Rover.....hazardous conditions with only the odd minute throughout the day to stop and have a brew. Top Man
