480 Celebration no 288
My girlfriend will be selling her 480 Celebration in flmae red in the next few weeks.
It is a great car and not let her down in the last 2 years. It has recently had a cam belt change, mot until about August next year, recently new front wheel bearings, and a track rod end was changed too, water thermostat and a few other bits and bobs to keep it running sweetly. It also has the clip over boot cover too and the leather has no rips or tears in it. She has used it daily in the last 2 years and has towed her small caravan twice with it for about 50-60 miles in total out of storage and back to the house. I tow it on longer journeys behind my bigger car. (I'm a bad passenger!) Only reason she is selling it is because she is a childnminder and needed an xc90 with 7 seats. If we had the space we would be keeping it for a fun economical 2nd car, but we dont have space! Only down sides to the car are the drivers heated seat doesnt work and the odometer stopped working too. It worked fine until the trip reset was pushed once and it stopped then. We dont know what to ask for it but looking at the other 480 on here we think it is probably worth about £675. We are going to be cleaning it thoroughly tomorrow and will take photos but I have ben asked to put this up now to see if there is any interest out there? We are located near Banbury, so middle of the country. |

I'm sure you'll get some interest about it, people will want to know a few essential like:
Mileage MOT TAX Service History Pictures Any problems or concearns (pop up lights, rear boot seal, rust arches, etc..)? It all sounds like a nice little car at the moment. Good luck with the sale, I think what your expecting for it sounds a reasonable type figure too. |

Cheers for the reply. Photos will hopefully be up tomorrow if the weather is kind to us!
If anyone reading it wants the answers to the ones you quickly put up. Mileage 103000 up to when the trip stopped working. Probably under 120000 still. MOT about 10 months and passed first time this year too. TAX going tobe sorn'd once private plate transfer comes back. Service History (mrs has a folder full of stuff she has done to the car) Pictures coming tomorrow hopefuly. Any problems or concearns (pop up lights, rear boot seal, rust arches, etc..)? pop up lights work and the get me home staying on whilst you walk down your drive function works too, boot seal is good and light clusters have been siliconed recently as they are a known water ingress area, rust on wheel arches is none! I cant think of any rust patches on the car at all. |
