Someone over on Swedespeed has a similar issue. It's a strange one.

Has POTUS been near your car?

Mine did something similar a while back, after a nights sleep it realised where it was and has been fine since!

Then the drivers mirror randomly set itself to the kerb reversing position - twice....

Then the head up display did its usual "peekabo, where am I?" trick.

Then leaving this morning the camera, blis and cross traffic alert went offline. I cleaned the sensors and restarted and they came back to life.

It has also corrupted the speed sign assist database so i get lots of random limits displayed.

I am starting to think that Volvo is now like Alfa in the 80s. Wonderful cars you just want to love but they just disappoint on the basics (like functioning electonics).

Oh and a depressing thought for any new buyers waiting for their car. These all seem like software issues. My car has the latest software. I guess these bugs will be in all the new cars too just waiting for the right time to come out......
My fear is that, as beautiful as the car is, it was brought to market too quickly without enough testing of the fundamentals. Having followed the forum for six months I am still holding off from signing on the dotted line. Curious to see the new Discovery as well.

The whole future of Volvo hangs on getting this right as I am assuming this system will be shared across all the new launches. This you would think would be a massive priority at Volvo just now.

Battery reset will cure the sat nav issue or it has for the 3 ive had,

Temp gauge issue is most probably a faulty sensor in mirror

Sorry, but do you think it is ok to have to do a battery reset on a £50k plus car to get it right?

It might not be ok to have to do it but it is easier than a dealer trip so it is useful information for me....

Yes I understand and good point. I suppose the balance is ensuring Volvo still feel they are responsible for fixing the car rather than owners doing a DIY job. I was thinking what about Volvo technician coming to your house to reset the battery. A few of those would certainly focus the mind.
