Ouch!!
At least the sales guy was honest about my chances when I asked if one would be available in 6 weeks. My only option was pre-built and in the end I got it in 10 days (and that seemed to last forever....)

Ha. My Volvo experience has been a shambles after the 6 months wait.

Phone call today (28th) after car delivered on (26th) after I have insured, GAP'd and bought a new council parking permit.

"Hi, hope all is well with the car..... we just need to let you know the car is showing the wrong number plates and we gave your leasing company the wrong details also; a driver is coming down with replacement plates tomorrow morning (2 hour drive each way) to fit these and will also drop off a John Lewis gift card for £180"

Presume I won't get any speeding tickets as the wrong reg is not registered to anything else.

I spent the afternoon making up stickers to go over the plates and making many phone calls to ensure I was actually insured!

You couldn't make this stuff up.

I would not hold your breath I was told 3 months then 4 months then 5 months now nearly 6 1/2 months , I am looking at other options now

I ordered an XC90 Momentum last year, with some options and I think that was also a factory-build. 8 weeks from order to the car sitting on my drive.

Mine was ordered last week of Novemeber and I´ve been told that I´ll get it mid to ending of June. I guess it would be more towards ending of June so that will make a total of seven months. It´s a S90 T4, to be honest I doubt they really want to sell any.

The same happens to me, i ordered mine the 30th of december and it is supposed to be here the firts week of july in tibermotor sur, Madrid

I have the same feeeling as you, i think they dont want to sell any.

Even if you look at other options, if you dont buy a British brand, the due dates from all the european brands will always be very high with the approach of the Brexit deadline. The hard Brexit will cause some bottlenecks to the supply of goods coming from Europe. UK will eventually fix this for sure but dont expect to have good news before the end of this year.
