V60 roofrails trim
My V60 has two 'grooves' in the roof which look like trim is missing. I know from pictures that isn't the case, but it still looks unfinished to me.
I have also seen online other pictures of V60s which seem to have some trim covering up the grooves (see links below). Does anyone know if these can be retrofitted and/or part numbers? I have a white V60 and think some black rails ones would nicely complete the look. https://www.google.com/search?q=volv...=1539847472452 https://www.google.com/search?q=volv...=1539847472452 https://www.google.com/search?q=volv...=1539847472452

Do you mean that your car does not have the low roofrails for attaching roof bars.
If you just have the painted roof then that is what is missing on your car. They are probably a spec thing. You can probably fit them but would mean removing headlining, drilling the roof, etc. You can see them in this photo. https://accessories.volvocars.com/en...499476/2014/D4 |

Hi - yes only have the painted roof. Is there a piece of trim to cover the grooves without drilling holes? I don't necessarily need the actual roof bars.
to my untrained eye it appeared as if some of the online pictures were just covers for the grooves rather than anything more substantial to support roof bars!

There are two options for the roof rails.
The chrome closed roof rails, on the higher end models The black plastic closed roof rails, on the lower spec model. (which is what you might think are 'covers'). Both are the same thing, just different materials, depending on spec, and I'm not sure how they are fixed, but I would have to assume they are fixed pretty well to the car, to support a roof box. I have also just noticed that you have a V60 polestar, which is the only V60 that is supplied without roof rails, all other V60's are supplied with one of the two above, so it would be a very small market to make and supply 'groove covers' for Polestar owners, As to whether an actual roof rail could be fitted to a polestar, I would expect very little experience on here, with people fitting roof rails, probably best to ask a dealer. Here's a link for roof rack, but it shows quite clearly the black rails. |
